JOB OVERVIEW:
The dishwasher at D Spot Dessert Café must keep the dishes and all other kitchen equipment, utensils and small wares in the most acceptable and hygienic standards. Wash, clean and sanitize tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room, back room and equipment clean and organized.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report any mechanical problems immediately.
Load, run and unload dish washer
Responsible to help bus tables for servers during peak hours
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store all dishes Remove all waste from back room and place bags in the garbage room
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage or fee may apply.
Duties as assigned.
Pull items from fridge and freezer as needed.
Prep and stock as needed/if required to do so
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience is an asseto Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredo Must be a team player
- Positive interpersonal skillso Must be able to lift up to 55 lb
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key.
- Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
- Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers
- Strong leadership skills is an asset in the kitchen
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
