Hughes Intelligence is currently seeking a Security System Service/Installation Technician to add to its team of professionals.

Qualifications:

- **A minimum of 3 years** as a security installation/service technician
- Experience project planning, installing and troubleshooting IP Cameras, DVRs/NVRs, commercial/residential alarm systems, access control
- Experience pulling and fishing cable through walls, drop ceilings and conduit as well as terminating all types of cable ends
- Experience in networking, hubs, switches, program routers
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
- Experience reading blueprints and electrical documents
- Understanding of computer hardware repair and software installation procedures
- Knowledge of a building’s envelope and its construction
- Ability to work on ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Setup and configure IP addresses for cameras and computer equipment
- Setup computer hardware, software use and client training
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct site audits and provide effective security system recommendations based on customer's needs and requests
- Install and program new alarm and security systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and security systems
- Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm systems
- Monitor inventory of service parts
- Train, motivate, and supervise installation tech(s), monitoring attendance and quality of work, and daily/weekly plan.
