As we continue to expand, we’re building a strong, passionate head office team to support our growth and we’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded, **Finance Business Partner** to join us.

**Role Summary**:
The Finance Business Partner is a strategic advisor embedded across the business, providing financial insight, forecasting, and performance analysis across Operations, Marketing, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Franchise.
This role drives profitability, financial discipline, cost efficiency, and scalable growth for all brands under Waad Ventures across Canada.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting**
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
- Build revenue, cost, and cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain rolling forecasts for all brands.
- Align with Operations on staffing budgets and P&L expectations.

**2. Performance Analysis & P&L Ownership**
- Own full P&L for stores, warehouse, central kitchen, and head office.
- Drive EBITDA performance across all business units
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor food cost %, labor %, overheads, and margins.
- Deliver weekly KPI dashboards to leadership.

**3. Cost Efficiency & Profitability**
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement, logistics, staffing, utilities, marketing, and suppliers.
- Conduct pricing and margin analysis on menu items.
- Validate ROI for campaigns, LTOs, and promotions.
- Track procurement rebates and contract-driven savings.

**4. Operations Support & Store-Level Partnership**
- Support Operations Managers with performance insights.
- Review inventory levels, wastage, productivity, and cost leakages.
- Set store financial targets and monitor compliance.
- Create financial playbooks for new stores.

**5. Marketing & Revenue Growth Collaboration**
- Evaluate ROI on campaigns, promotions, and grand openings.
- Support budgeting for monthly and annual marketing plans.
- Validate performance of LTO menu items.

**6. Supply Chain, Warehouse & Central Kitchen Alignment**
- Analyze purchasing costs, bulk pricing, inventory valuation, and vendor performance.
- Ensure accurate costing for central kitchen transfers.
- Evaluate waste levels and distribution cost efficiency.

**7. Franchise Financial Oversight**
- Review franchisee P&Ls and financial compliance.
- Support franchise onboarding with financial models (ROI, break-even, cash flow).
- Monitor royalties, rebates, and store health.
- Provide monthly insights to the franchise support team.

**8. Cash Flow, Payments & Collections**
- Oversee multi-unit cash flow planning.
- Monitor AP/AR and collaborate with accounting.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and franchise collections.
- Enhance cash control mechanisms.

**9. Strategic Projects & Expansion**
- Conduct feasibility studies for new locations across Canada.
- Support due diligence for acquisitions or new markets.
- Model long-term financial projections for regional growth.

**10. Risk Management & Internal Controls**
- Support development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and audit standards.
- Participate in escalation protocol for financial, operational, or legal risks.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5-8+ years experience in finance (F&B, retail, or franchising ideal).
- Strong P&L management, forecasting, and modelling background.
- Experience supporting Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and HR.
- Advanced Excel/Sheets; familiarity with BI, ERP, POS systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and business partnering ability.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
