**Note this is part time opportunity: 24 hours per week.**

Reporting directly to the Controller, this position you will be responsible for:
Process Payroll
- Oversees the smooth operation of end-to-end payroll processing employees in a timely and accurate manner, via Payworks.
- Ensures the accuracy of payroll is complete, verified, and balanced prior to submission
- Prepares ROEs and other forms related to employment for employees
- Maintains an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities and verifying employee information (i.e., hiring rate, personal information, banking)
- Ensure that any Owner Operator change of information is sent to AP in a timely manner

2. Garnishments
- Remits monthly garnishments to proper payee

3. Payroll Database
- Ensures databases (sets up new employees, updates in Payworks / Collage/Courier Complete and Sage) are set up and reflect the current employee base, including Owner Operators.
- Ensure Supervisors/Managers have the information to set up biometric scan

4. Agency Reports - Weekly
- Submits weekly hours to all agencies for drivers, warehouse staff

5. Time Management Reports - Semi Monthly
- Ensure all Supervisor/Manager process their Time Management reports on a timely manor. Review prior to payroll processing

6. Absent Management report
- Ensure that vacations, PEL and off without pay is recoded accurately

7. Financial Reports - Monthly
- Process payroll information into SAGE.
- Monthly Management reports by company & divisions processed
- Other projects as needed

What are we looking for:

- Minimum Experience: 2 years’ experience in payroll; ideally familiar with Payworks.
- Special Training and/or Certificates: Completion of Certificate Program through the Canadian Payroll Association would be an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll business practices and provincial legislation as it relates to payroll.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, Word, and Teams
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills, and time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills including good interpersonal skills.
- Professional at all times and maintain utmost confidentiality of employee information and records.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently with mínimal or no supervision.
