This role exists to improve speed, accuracy, and ownership of payroll issue resolution by enabling direct payroll execution within defined controls.This is a worker-facing and client-facing role. You will own payroll-related cases end-to-end—investigating issues, coordinating approvals when needed, executing payroll corrections, and clearly communicating outcomes to workers.What You’ll DoOwn complex payroll-related worker inquiries from investigation through resolutionInvestigate and resolve issues including:Missing or incorrect payBackpay and retroactive adjustmentsPay rate adjustmentsTax withholding updatesGarnishment or deduction discrepancies (within guidelines)Execute payroll corrections directly in payroll systems, following documented SOPs and approval thresholdsCoordinate with client contacts to confirm approvals or details required to correct payPartner closely with the Payroll team to:Learn and document payroll workflowsIdentify recurring issues and process improvementsEscalate exceptions outside defined guardrailsCommunicate clearly and empathetically with workers about payroll outcomes, timelines, and next stepsMaintain detailed documentation in Zendesk to support auditability and complianceSupport the Worker Experience team with payroll and time & attendance Worker Experience inquiries as needed, acting as a senior escalation point within the teamRequirements2–4 years of experience in payroll operations or payroll support.
