Office Manager and HR Generalist

**About the Job**
The Office Manager is an integral part of our team. The individual in this role helps ensure office operations run smoothly and requires an organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The role offers a great place to start your career with Dennis Group and grow within our company in areas such as administrative project management, marketing/proposal coordination, human resources, and accounting.
**Office Administration Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain office budget and reporting with office leadership.
- Manage all courier/shipping and receiving duties including managing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Establish vendor agreements for office FFE and building services.
- Ensure third-party office, equipment and building service vendors are performing as expected.
- Answer phone calls, direct calls, and answer client inquiries.
- Update and maintain phone and contact lists for the office.
- Maintain files and records with an effective filing system.
- Assist corporate accounting team with ensuring time reports are entered on time and correctly by employees.
- Manage the schedule for conference and meeting rooms
- Coordinate building maintenance activities - cleaning services, landscaping, misc. multi-story building repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Plan local office social events, outings, and parties.
- Encourage and maintain a welcoming, professional, and safe working environment.
**People & Management Responsibilities (HR)**
Support recruiting activities such as coordinating and scheduling interviews, setting up career fairs, at the direction of Talent Acquisition
- Help coordinate and ensure the smooth operation of our co-op and internship programs with members of our Talent and Technical teams.
- Assist Human Resources by conducting and coordinating new hire orientation, ensuring that the onboarding program is executed effectively.
- Direct employee payroll and benefits questions to appropriate People & Management team members.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Evaluate and encourage employee satisfaction and engagement.
**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.
**Travel Requirements**:
- Traveling will be limited, possibly up to 5%.
**About You**
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience (preferred)
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- An ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent responsibilities.
- A strong attention to detail
- Ability to be resourceful and anticipate the team’s needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written)
