**Position Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee our extensive industrial property portfolios. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our industrial properties with a focus on delivering top-tier service to our valued tenants. Your core responsibilities include financial management, tenant relations, and property operations, all aimed at ensuring the efficient operation of our industrial properties, securing their financial success while fostering tenant satisfaction and continuous relationship.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain effective communication with the VP of Property Management regarding financial performance, property operations, project execution, staffing, and tenant relations.
- Foster excellent tenant relations through exceptional management services and personal contact.
- Manage building revenues and expenses, prepare and operate within an approved budget, analyze monthly financial statements, and prepare management reports.
- Ensure tenant billings and year-end adjustments are accurate and compliant with leases.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable to maintain financial health and uphold the company's reputation.
- Recommend and manage capital projects, building improvements, and leasehold improvements, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Administer leases to ensure compliance and meet obligations.
- Ensure efficient property operation, maintenance, and repair, including compliance with regulations and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards.
- Develop and supervise operating procedures and ensure legislative and regulatory compliance.
- Complete move-in and exit reports, and ensure vacant spaces are secure and marketable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
- Post-secondary education in business or real estate.
- RPA designation will be considered an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years property management experience in commercial portfolios
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (both oral and written)
- Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with senior management, contractors, tenants and the public
- Partner with tenants to meet their needs
- Self-motivated, professional and flexible
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
- Adaptable to new ideas and constant changes
- Ability to cope with changing tenant needs and deliver successful results within agreed upon timeframes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid ON driver’s license and vehicle to travel to Beedie properties
- Experience with YARDI integrated accounting is an asset
