We value people who are able to analyze problems and take rapid, decisive action. **What is great about this opportunity?** - You will be joining a stable, but growing organization committed to strong financial performance, strategic acquisitions, global expansion and the highest ethical standards of conduct. - You will be representing a company that makes products that improve quality of life and are considered top of the line. - You will be joining a cohesive team that supports each other in accomplishing shared goals. **Primary Function** As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the business relationships with wholesalers and contractors. **Responsibilities** - Generate "pull through" demand from end users; installing contractors, builders and engineers by developing specifications, providing technical training, product knowledge seminars and solutions to their problems - Secure product listings and build distributor's inventory to suit field demand - Monitor customer preferences and/or market trends - Resolve product problems and provide technical support (service, sizing, etc.) - Developing and implementing sales and marketing plans to grow market share - Advise dealers and distributors on A.O. Smith policies and operating procedures - Represent company at trade association meetings and industry meetings to promote products - Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary **Qualifications** - Minimum of 5 years related work experience in water heating or related industry preferred - Effective communication skills and strong customer service skills - Strong technical background in water heating or related field - Ability to develop, understand, and deliver technical presentations - Participation in various industry associations - Planning and forecasting skills - Ability to develop and implement business plans - Ability to work independently and as a part of a sales team - Excellent management skills - Proficiency in MS Office Products is required **Education** CET program or Related Field or PEng/Engineering **We Offer** Competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short - and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.
