**Job Overview**
This is a fantastic 6 month opportunity that's perfect for someone who is currently not working or completing another contract, looking to further their career in Health & Safety The main purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to Health & Safety projects, both Health & Safety, CAPEX, and other initiatives, to ultimately contribute to improving the culture and control measures at all 12 Give & Go sites.
**Key Responsibilities**
Process improvement for Health & Safety initiatives:
- Collects data to determine current state and gaps relative to MDLZ standard at all sites
- Develop HS processes, systems, and tools i.e. standard operating procedures, guidelines, flow charts, audit forms etc.
- Support day to day administrative tasks related to Health & Safety CAPEX Initiatives:
- Assist with monitoring, updating, and tracking against project and task documentation: WBS, Gnatt Charts, status reports, action plans etc.
- Lead or assist with issues, risk identification and resolution
- Develop, monitor and update KPI's
- Monitoring daily progress of projects
- Coordinate project related site tours, meetings, and other activities
- Assist with the coordination and completion of HSE risk assessments
- Liaise with vendors to source equipment or services
- Support incident investigation and root cause analysis
Communication:
- Support development and updates to stakeholder slide decks,
- Schedule and organize stakeholder meetings,
- Coordinate, organize and enact project communications with stakeholder and external partners
- Support delivery of training and workshops
Execution and validation of HS initiatives:
- Support execution of process improvements at site level
- Lead execution of smaller HS initiatives
- Lead small audits at the Sites to ensure sustainability of the process improvements
**Recipe for Success - Qualifications**
- Completion of a college diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or engineering or a related field
- Previous Health & Safety or engineering experience (via work experience, co-op program or internship) in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous project management related experience
- Knowledge and some experience in project management tools and Lean Six Sigma tools
- Excellent critical thinking skills, ultimately showing good judgement to put plans into effect to resolve concerns.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to draft written correspondence.
- Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to deal with conflict and crisis in a calm manner.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills (ability to be highly structured/detailed)
- Comfortable speaking in groups to present Health & Safety communications and training
- Excellent ability with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis
- Must stay current with legislation, regulations, theory, and case law related to Health & Safety and Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Current knowledge of changes and innovations in Health & Safety

**Salary**: $38,860.07-$45,000.00 per year
