**Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and file GST/HST returns in compliance with CRA regulations.
- Track expenses and categorize transactions appropriately.
- Generate and analyze financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers.
- Assist with payroll processing (optional depending on your needs).
- Support the year-end process and work with external accountants as needed.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems.
- Prepare and send invoices and statements to customers.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and manage calendars.
- Order office supplies and ensure administrative operations run smoothly.
- Support other team members with administrative tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or administrative assistant (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
- Solid understanding of GST/HST filing requirements in British Columbia.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

**Preferred Assets**:

- Experience working in a small business
- Familiarity with payroll systems and CRA remittance processes.
- Experience with other bookkeeping software or cloud-based systems.
