Our Design & Engineering team is looking for a full-time Administrator to coordinate our internal design process for new home construction projects.
**What’s the opportunity?**
KOTT designs building components based on customer-provided plans. Keeping our customer promise of “on time, in full” relies on strong collaboration between Sales, Design and Production. In this role, you are the liaison overseeing the timely and seamless flow of design information and documents from the time they are received by Sales, through the entire design process, right to the hand off to Production. It’s a role that thrives on teamwork, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving.
- **Your day-to-day**_
- Enter customer Quotes in KOTT’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Log new Design work requirements
- Manage, maintain and populate the customer project folder system, ensuring version control
- Assess and action repair detail requests from customer job sites
- Monitor design change requests, escalating overdue items to ensure they are closed out in a timely manner
- Ensure billings are applied in accordance with KOTT policies
- Review incoming customer plans to identify missing information
- Review plans and documents to prepare Layouts for standard Job Ready Designs (JRDs), or to identify JRDs that require modification by a Designer
- General support and coordination, and any other tasks assigned by the Design Managers or Director
**What you need to succeed**:
- **Experience & Education**_
- 2 years’ experience working in the Construction industry
- 1 year’s administration experience
- High school Diploma
- College Diploma or an equivalent qualification in business administration is an asset
- **Skills & Qualifications**_
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural drawings and contract documents required
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in using software such as Microsoft 365 and ERPs
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of MiTek and/or Bistrack is an asset
