Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. **The Role**:

- Respond to online reviews and inquiries in a timely, thoughtful, and brand-aligned manner
- Conduct interviews with to share stories and promote our mission
- Act as a liaison between Dog Tales and the public, media representatives, and other organizations
- Draft and edit press releases, public statements, and official communications
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, and provide regular reports and insights to leadership
- Assist with the planning and execution of events
- Collaborate with the Media team to ensure consistent messaging and tone across all platforms

**What You Bring**:

- 2+ years of experience in public relations, media, communications, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident and comfortable speaking on behalf of an organization in both live and recorded formats
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive topics with compassion
- Ability to respond professionally to public feedback, including criticism or complaints
- Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the mission of Dog Tales
- Experience working with media outlets, journalists
- Knowledge of social media and online review platforms (Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc.)
- Experience in interview preparation or conducting interviews

**Schedule**:
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM, five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed. Flexibility with working hours is essential.
