Winnipeg, Canada OTT Construction Group Full time

We are looking to hire a skilled Lead Carpenter to provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in construction projects. The Lead Carpenter’s responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to clients’ requests, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications. You should also be able to help solve project-related problems and maintain a high level of communication and provide regular progress updates on-site and off-site.

Lead Carpenter Responsibilities:

- Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team and sub trades.
- Communicating in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.
- Anticipating changes to project schedules with on-site progress and reports.
- Supervising the company's field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors.
- Performing all carpentry duties required, including both demolition, rough and finish carpentry.
- Preparing material take-offs and ordering materials for some portions of projects.
- Knowledge of other sub-trade requirements involved in projects.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.
- Maintaining a positive workplace for the project team and sub trades.

Lead Carpenter Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Red Seal Carpenter preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in residential remodelling or construction as outlined on resume.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- The ability to safely operate power tools.
- The ability to read blueprints.
- Physically fit.
- Hand tools and cordless power tools.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Strong leadership skills.

- Must be have a valid driver's license and transportation.

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
