**Carpenters**

Penn-co Construction, a leading construction company, is seeking skilled Carpenters to join our team for projects in **Nunavut and other remote northern locations.**

**Job Duties**
- Build and/or assemble concrete forms and place concrete using rakes, screeds, and trowels
- Framing, including walls, doors, and windows
- Exterior finishing including siding, fascia, and soffit
- Place and tie rebar
- Operate hand and power tools
- Lead and mentor co-workers
- All other carpentry duties as required and assigned by supervisor

**Requirements**:

- Red Seal preferred; however, experience is highly valued
- Must be able to pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team
- Ability to read building specifications and blueprints
- Mathematical skills
- The care and effort required to maintain quality workmanship, minimize deficiencies and maintain Penn-co’s reputation in the industry
- An understanding of safe work practices
- Experience working in or with Indigenous communities; cultural awareness and respect are essential
- Must be willing and able to travel to remote project locations
- Rotational schedules may include:

- **10 days on, 4 days off**
- **21 days on, 7 days off**
- **4 weeks on, 2 weeks off**
