QA & Haccp Coordinator (Part-time)

**ROLE**: HACCP Coordinator (Part-Time, 20 hrs/week)

**REPORTS TO**:QA Manager

**LOCATION**:Annacis BC

**SHIFTS**:M-F Daytime, Weekends only as required

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Quality team as a **QA HACCP coordinator**. You will play an integral role in preparing for and guiding the company through our GFSI, Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and CFIA and customers audits. As our QA HACCP Coordinator, you will be responsible for our document management system to ensure compliance with all regulatory, and internal and external audit requirements. You will be stepping in for the QA supervisor when absent from the facility.

- **Experience**_
- You have a Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or other relevant discipline
- You have 3 or more years working in a similar role

- You have experience working in a food manufacturing facility
- You have HACCP certification
- You have knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Kanban)
- You have worked in a unionized workplace

**things you will do**
- Oversee the document management process to ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Assume QA supervisor responsibilities when absent from facility
- Generate SOP’s, forms, and documents as required for new products and processes
- Participate in the implementation of new products
- Prepare and execute audit schedule including all necessary actions for successful completion
- Follow up on corrective action requests and nonconformities issue from internal and external audit within deadlines and issue an action plan to avoid recurrence.

**Detailed Description of Duties**:

- Maintain and file quality assurance documentation (e.g., production records, lab results, checklists) in preparation for internal and external audits
- Assist with the review, formatting, and controlled distribution of SOPs and QA documentation
- Monitor completion and accuracy of QA forms and escalate any gaps to the QA manager
- Help coordinate sample collection and lab submissions
- Track and follow up on minor corrective actions or routine checks as assigned by the QA manager
- Support training documentation by updating the training matrix and filing completed training records
- Assist with organizing and preparing for third-party audits (e.g., CFIA, SQF, Organic, Kosher)
- Perform internal document audits under the direction of the QA Supervisor
- Update and maintain HACCP plan records as requested
- Help prepare trend summaries (e.g., complaint data, internal findings) for QA Supervisor’s review
- Help review and update SOPs, work instructions and forms including HACCP and SQF documentation for food safety
- Review the COA of all ingredients and packaging materials
- Ensure departmental readiness for unannounced audits and regulatory inspections
- Handling quality issues, product holds and releases
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.50-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
