The position of Server encompasses almost every aspect of the dining "experience". Our servers are not only providers and couriers of bread and water but rather ambassadors, salespersons and representatives of the Club as a whole. Member perceptions of the Club in general are influenced by the "front-line" staff they encounter. A server is expected to have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be reliable, have a strong perseverance for training and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. **What we offer**: - Medical/Pension benefits - Long term disability and life insurance - Paid sick days and vacation in accordance with Club policy - Complimentary staff meals - Complimentary parking - Wellness Bursary - Weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays as required. **An Overview of Main Duties & Responsibilities**: - Continuously monitor dining areas to ensure high quality of the overall dining experience - Interact with Members and their guests in a proactive, courteous and professional manner - Perform all duties to ensure the dining area is clean and safe for members and staff including cleaning tables, polish glassware and cutlery, clearing used plates, service station, fridge, etc. - Prepare dining areas for members prior to their arrival including setting up buffet when required, restocking condiments, setting up tables, etc. - Be knowledgeable of daily specials and menu items including ingredients, daily soup, and other specials - Serves food and beverages according to Donalda Club’s set standards as stated in the service manual - Perform all closing/opening duties as assigned by supervisor or manager on each shift - Handles complaints from guests and members in a professional manner and informs direct supervisor to resolve any issues - Ensure all member and order information is correctly input to the JONAS system when taking orders - Perform various duties for the patio including opening umbrellas, placing centerpieces, and make cutlery roll-ups as needed. - Rearrange tables and chairs when requested by management or members - Go above and beyond the F&B requirements to assist Members with requests or concerns involving the Club as a whole. **Job Requirements**: - Must be 18 and over to serve alcoholic beverages - Ability to work under periods of extreme pressure in a calm and professional manner. - Punctual and reliable - Taste for work and direction of discipline - A strong will and perseverance for training - Knowledge of wines and spirits is an asset - Smart Serve is required - Preference will be given to those individuals who have past experience in the field of hospitality - but this is not an essential requirement for someone who shows us the right attitude. - Able to work shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays No telephone calls please.
