As Sales Development Coordinator, you will partner with Commercial Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service departments to optimize the current sales portfolio and build future growth potential. The Sales Development Coordinator actively establishes new accounts while identifying current customers who are underutilizing the company’s products and services. Key responsibilities include leveraging the company’s unique quality and service to secure malt and hop contracts, assisting with local events, partnering with Commercial Sales and Marketing to establish and maintain a current portfolio of effective marketing collateral, and achieving sales goals and objectives that drive growth.

**What an Sales Development Coordinator Does**:
- Manages select customer accounts within the territory, actively pursuing opportunities to sell malt, hops, and brewing ingredients.
- Drives sales within the defined product categories of the company commercial quarterly sales cycle priorities.
- Assists with establishing and maintaining hop contracts by proactively contacting customers with active hops contracts to facilitate the timely shipment of hops to manage ongoing warehouse storage capacities.
- Utilizes industry media - such as newsletters, magazines, social platforms, etc. - to identify and contact new customers to establish a positive introduction to the company with the goal of cultivating new business.
- Tracks and manages prospecting, qualifying, and ongoing customer engagement notes within CRM and verifies accuracy of data added to the database.
- Partners with Commercial Sales and Marketing to maintain a standardized portfolio of products and services that accurately profiles the company to share with potential customers.
- Gathers pertinent industry and competitive data to keep the company informed of new sales opportunities and competition within the company’s market, including changes in competitors’ selling policies, customer acquisition efforts, services, and prices offered.
- Supports select existing accounts and collaborates with the Commercial Sales team to ensure those accounts are maintained and positioned for growth.
- Completes the Customer Onboarding process for new customers, ensuring the company remains top of mind for breweries and distilleries in development.
- Analyzes product underutilization for customer accounts and proactively sends relevant samples of product that may help increase utilization efforts.
- Identifies and participates in industry events, trade shows, and beer festivals where a positive impact could be made with customer acquisition and or customer retention.
- Participates in trade shows in a support role, assisting with material transportation, setup and take down responsibilities, logistics, and coverage of the onsite booth.
- Provides training and communication to the Customer Service team on sales initiatives, new products, and potential opportunities to help encourage a sales support approach with the Customer Service team.
- Partners on the development of effective sales and marketing tools, maintaining and organizing the materials to ensure accessibility for Commercial Sales and Customer Service teams.
- Assists with ongoing customer maintenance activities, including payment collection and customer forecasts, as needed.
- Tracks and submits accurate expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring company policies are consistently followed.
- Collaborates cross functionally to develop and implement action plans for improvement initiatives and executes and supports new projects.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- 2+ years’ sales experience with the types of products offered and typical business to business operations.
- Bilingual in French required.
- Working knowledge of customer relationship management systems preferred.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 5-10% of time).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven sales acumen and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
