Medical Office Assistant

Job Summary
As an MOA, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
2. Patient Registration: Register patients, verify demographics, and update records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, check reports in Netcare and Connect care
3. Scheduling: Schedule appointments, procedures, and tests, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers.
4. Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, scan documents, send referrals, file test results and consult reports. and ensure confidentiality.
5. Billing and Insurance: Process billing, insurance claims, and payment reconciliation.
6. Translation Support: Provide translation services for patients who speak Hindi or Punjabi, facilitating effective communication with healthcare providers.
7. Data Management: Utilize Excel spreadsheets to manage and analyze data, track patient statistics, and prepare reports.
8. Cultural Competence: Serve as a cultural ambassador, providing insight and support to patients from diverse backgrounds.
**Requirements**:
1. Language Skills: Fluent in English, and advantage with ability to speak and interpret Hindi, and Punjabi, etc.
2. Education: Certification in Medical Office Administration.
3. Experience: MOA experience is an advantage.
4.Clean environment: Attention to neatness, cleanness, maintenance of clean consultation rooms, working areas and kitchen.good record 5:Administration: good record keeping of consumables, prompt ordering of materials, reconciliation of purchases
6.Software* Proficient in EMR systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other medical office software.
6. Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
7.Work Environment: Fast-paced medical office environment and ability to manage work pressure
8.Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5pm. Must be at work minimum 15 minutes before opening time.
10am to 2pm on Saturdays and closed on all public holidays.
What We Offer
1. Competitive Salary: Based on experience: $15-$18 per hour.
Resumption: Immediately
Pay: $15.25-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
