Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings, with strong organizational skills and proficiency in electronic medical records. This role involves providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth administrative operations within our practice. Candidates with experience using Accuro system will be highly valued. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in electronic medical records system (Accuro)
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all documentation complies with healthcare regulations
  • Support clinical staff by handling administrative tasks related to patient care coordination
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a welcoming environment
  • Handle administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry with attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems such as Accuro or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Strong office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
