Human Resources Coordinator

Fossil Landscape Construction is Vancouver's premier landscaping company. We specialize in constructing and maintaining custom high-end residential properties with projects located in Vancouver, West Vancouver, Whistler, and Bowen Island. Fossil’s team of professional construction workers and tradespeople execute a broad range of complex exterior construction tasks to the highest degree of workmanship.
We are looking for an energetic, flexible, and highly motivated HR Coordinator to join our team. If you like working with people and are excited about hiring then you are in the right place.
**Responsibilities**:
- Full cycle recruitment
- Contacts Universities and tertiary education regarding current vacancies, and job fairs
- Coordinate training for WHMIS, First Aid, Forklift, etc. Certification Training
- Work closely with HR Manager to determine priority vacancies and areas of focus
- Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Assist with the development and implementation of new policies
- Assist with performance management procedures
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events and maintain agendas
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff
- Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring the necessary documentation is complete before onboarding
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
- Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects
**Qualifications**:
- 2-4 years of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or similar positions
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Local laws and regulations
- Advanced ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time
- Self-motivated, able to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Solid team player and interpersonal skills
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality
