**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**:
- Provide administrative and logístical support to the sales and events teams
- Process sales and event related documents such as Group Sales Agreements, memos, proposals, convention resumes, Event Orders, reports and Marriott Rewards claims
- Prepare and distribute sales kits and catering menus
- Execute daily and weekly reports
- Liaise with internal and external guests where required on behalf of the Conference Services /Events Department
- Handle all internal meeting room inquiries, and detailing of Event Orders
- Co-ordinate VIP amenities and cards with In Room Dining
- Assist with postings & activity on hotel’s/Food & Beverage’s social media pages and upkeep of Hotel Website
- Ensure general departmental phone coverage for Sales/Catering/Events Team.
- Prepare and distribute resumes for conference bookings for assigned Event Managers.
- Coordinate and finalize historical, credit and rooming list details on behalf of the Event Manager(s).
- Cooperate and communicate with other departments in arranging site visits, special events, and distribution of information of interest regarding all customers.
- Attend all relevant departmental meetings on a regular basis, offering constructive feedback and input.
- Other duties as assigned.
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
- **Education/Experience and skills**_
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Event Management or similar hotel capacity preferred
- Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management or Event Management an asset.
- Knowledge of Marriott CI/TY or other hotels sales system an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and other software package required.
- An affinity for numbers/spreadsheets is an asset.
- **Complexity/Analysis**:_
- Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently
- A proven self-starter.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) an asset.
