**Role Overview**

As a Payroll Specialist you will contribute to BGRS’ success by providing accuracy, timeliness and delivery of data and all necessary activities to process the Bi-Weekly North America (NA) payroll.

**If selected for an in-office position, you will work remotely while BGRS operates under mandatory telework.**

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Responsible for Canada payroll
- Back-up for Payroll Specialist (PS) for bi-weekly US payrolls, including any commissions, bonuses, other special payments, etc. with the outsourced payroll provider.
- Process US State Income Tax and Unemployment Tax agencies registration and company information updates.
- Assist with other international payrolls as required
- Collating all employee changes data, documents and records relating to payroll changes from HR Business Partners (HRBP) and Benefits Specialists.
- Assist in producing interface files (Canada thru EMPOWER) for employee changes.
- Audit HR interface files versus back-up documents provided by HRBP for accuracy and consistency. As well as ensuring that all changes are supported by appropriate back up for SOX compliance.
- Assist in the review and validation of pre and post payroll reports to ensure accuracy of the payroll.
- Reconcile RRSP (Canada) contributions and payments with outsourced payroll provider
- Assist in providing bi-weekly payroll reports such as payroll registers, funding, tax and other payroll related matters.
- Participate in any payroll, pension and financial audits as required
- Assist in processing LOA, Maternity leave benefits cheques and also cheques for overpayments.
- Assist Payroll Manager in payroll projects and ad-hoc reports.
- Other payroll work as required

**What You Bring to BGRS**
- Educated with a college degree/diploma
- A payroll designation of PCP from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)
- Minimum 5 years in a Payroll Department performing all facets of a payroll
- US payroll experience is an advantage
- High proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Knowledgeable in payroll and tax legislation/compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and proven aptitude for numbers and accuracy
- Knowledgeable in payroll accounting is an advantage
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- With organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting all deadlines
- With ADP experience is preferred
