Machinist - Manual Lathe Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and set up manual lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on lathe equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience operating manual lathes.
- Strong knowledge of machining various materials, including steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and precision instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of shop safety protocols and best practices.
- Highschool diploma as well as technical training in manufacturing or a related field is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
