- Time Medical Administrator**
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to take on the role of Medical Administrator for one of our clients in the Niagara region. This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday. Ability to work flexible hours is required.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assisting the nurse with scheduling patient eye procedures.
- Calling patients to follow up on missed appointments and reschedule.
- Obtaining patient forms (I.e. consent forms, insurance forms) and scanning to their files.
- Using EMR to document patient files, schedule appointments, and prepare charts and exam sheets.
- Preparing documentation such as: appointment sheet, order sheet, post IVT protocol sheet, and patient support program forms.
- Receiving and managing daily inventory counts.
- Preparing the supply orders for the following week.
- Preparing trays, including medications and needles, for the Doctor.
- Reporting adverse events to the PSP.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education required.
- Experience in doctor’s office is preferred.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is an asset.
- Data entry experience.
- Computer literacy required: preferably in ACCURO.
- Ability to communicate with patients, colleagues, and doctors in an effective and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
- Flexible work hours required.
