**Location**: Coquitlam, BC
**Shift Type**: Full-Time
**Shift Days**:Monday-Friday
**Shift Hours**: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
**Salary Range**: $60,000 - $68,000

**REPORTING STRUCTURE**: The HR Generalist reports directly to the HR Manager.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs at unionized and non-unionized sites including but not limited to leave management, discipline/performance management, disputes & investigations/grievances, rewards & recognition, and core HR training & development;
- Review, track, and document compliance with HR programs and training;
- Assist with creating & updating internal policies ensuring legal compliance with Employment Standards, Occupational Health & Safety, & Privacy laws in BC, AB, & ON;
- Administer and manage employee feedback;
- Conduct HR SOP training sessions with site leadership;
- Handle employment-related inquiries from employee, and site-level leadership staff, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Managers or senior management;
- Create & maintain job descriptions, and other HR documents as required;
- Assist with managing the rewards and recognition program;
- Remain up to date with Employment Standards, Occupational and Health and Safety, and Privacy laws; and maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes and make recommendations to maintain compliance;
- Lead the analysis of key metrics and presentation to leadership;
- Other duties as required to support business growth.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:

- Thorough understanding of Labour Relations, Employment Standards, Occupational Health & Safety, & Privacy Laws in BC, AB, & ON;
- Excellent interpersonal & communicational (written and verbal) skills;
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office;
- Dealing with high-volume, fast-paced environment,
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask without being overwhelmed;
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with all internal and external stakeholders;
- Intrinsic ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines;
- Multilingual ability considered an asset.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous experience in a union-environment preferred;
- HR related post-secondary diploma/degree preferred;
- Minimum 1-2 years previous related work experience;
- CPHR Designation or working towards CPHR designation considered an asset;
- Acceptable security and criminal record check.
