**Job Summary**

**A Brief Overview**
The Information Technology Services department is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to identify business needs within the Queen's community and help research new tools and processes to address those needs. The position falls within the Service Delivery & Innovation, Data Platform Services team and will typically involve working with data technologies, analytics solutions, or automation platforms.

This position provides expertise to aid in the planning, design and development of technical resources. This position translates business requirements into an implementation plan with clients and members of the team. This position updates project managers, sponsors of progress towards objectives, and ensures issues are logged and resolved.

**What you will do**
- Reviews and edits business requirements and processes and provides regular updates to project managers and client groups.
- Conducts research, develops detailed queries, and addresses information systems changes and business process improvements.
- Recommends system and business process improvements on information system and business process issues.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.

**Required Education**
- Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

**Required Experience**
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Identify new problems and seek information and input to fully understand the cause of problems.
- Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
- Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
