**About Us**

Not interested in going back to the office? If you’re discovering that you’re more productive at home than in an office, and want to make that arrangement permanent, we may have the position you’re after.

On the other hand, if you’re not looking for a social group and just want to do great work, then you may be exactly what we’re looking for. We don’t care where you work and we won’t be looking over your shoulder micromanaging you. You’ll have mínimal meetings disrupting your week and plenty of time to focus on doing the best job possible. We’re growing quickly, but not so quickly that things are chaotic.

As part of that growth, we’ve got an opening for an _**eLearning Development Manager.**_

This isn’t a consulting shop where custom courses are built to client specs and then forgotten about after delivery. It’s also not a big company with layers of bureaucracy and committees for every decision. Our business is focused on delivering a library of educational materials, and the content team has the opportunity to stay connected to their creations through ongoing enhancements and updates.

If you’re interested in building products that help save lives and staying connected to those products after they launch, send us your résumé and a link to some sample work, and let’s talk.

**About the Position**

The Content Services department is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s core product: a library of online safety training courses for the transportation industry. That includes creating new titles to meet customer demand, updating existing titles to keep them fresh and relevant, and expanding the content into alternate languages.

The eLearning Development Manager oversees the department, managing all ongoing projects and ensuring that all output fits the market need and meets the company’s quality standards. In a typical week, the director will meet with individual writers to review their work and keep their projects on track, coordinate with Creative Services to review project status and design needs, coordinate with external resources for voiceover recording, translation, and periodic customer site photo shoots, work with Platform Development on enhancements to internal tools, and review course bug reports with Customer Experience.

**About You**
- A meticulous organizer, you’re comfortable managing multiple projects at a time and keeping them all on track.
- You recognize that effective eLearning requires a complete multimedia experience - text, images, animation, and audio - with all components working together. You have experience with all aspects of the development process and understand how each fit into the whole.
- You prioritize quality and won’t cut corners to save a buck or get things out fast. Distorted images, breathy voiceovers, or lazy test questions drive you nuts and you can’t rest until they’re corrected.
- You’re not just a power user of Word, you’re a super user, with a deep understanding of how to make the most of its features and work around its quirks.
- While you may not be directly building courses currently, you’re happy to provide guidance to other developers when they get stuck, and another set of eyes when reviews are needed.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Oversee all course development projects and resource staff appropriately.
- Ensure that all output meets company standards and follows established guidelines and best practices.
- Coordinate with external resources for translation, voiceover, photo shoots, and site visits.
- Manage the course development roadmap, balancing the development of new titles with refreshes of existing content and ongoing translations and updates.
- Work with Customer Experience to ensure all customer-reported content bugs are fixed on a timely basis.
- Work with Platform Development to ensure internal tool development reflects the needs, of course, developers and established best practices within the department.
- Continue to refine course development workflow and best practices, optimizing for quality and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of upcoming regulatory changes and schedule updates as necessary to ensure content remains current.
- Represent the company at public events, meeting with customers and collecting feedback from end users.

**Our Requirements**
- 10+ years in progressively senior positions developing online education content.
- 4+ years directly managing course development and/or project teams.
- Proven ability to consistently produce high-quality online learning material.
- Strong experience with all aspects of online learning design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of related technologies (HTML, CSS, SCORM, etc.)
- Experience delivering multilingual content.
- Comfort managing a remote
