HR Summer Student

**Are you looking for a meaningful summer job? **Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) is looking for a student to join our Human Resources department, in a full-time capacity over the summer months. The role would provide support and assistance to our current HR team members with a variety of tasks. This position would report to our Director of People & Culture and all tasks will receive appropriate training and oversight.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the completion of Standard Operating Procedures for the HR department
- Assist in file maintenance and clean up
- Research and produce an evidence-based recommendation related to Attendance Management and Employee Well-being
- Assist in HR related tasks including attending recruitment events and socials
- Coordinate work with other HR team members as necessary.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Between the ages of 15 and 30
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience in an HR environment an asset
- Experience with research and data analysis would be an asset
- Effective communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, a clean Vulnerable Sector Record Check will be required.
