Hospice Summer Student

**Are you looking for a meaningful summer job? **Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes is looking for a student to join our Hospice department, in a full-time capacity over the summer months. The role would provide support and assistance to our current hospice team members with a variety of tasks. This position will report to our Hospice Manager and all tasks would receive appropriate training and oversight.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Facilitate annual volunteer compliance sign offs
- Enhance volunteer engagement and participation in hospice-related initiatives.
- Aid in the growth and evaluation of the Riverwalk program,
- Assist in updating and maintaining the hospice website
- Assist in accreditation preparation as identified
- Coordinate work with other hospice team members as necessary.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Between the ages of 15 and 30
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience working with volunteers would be an asset.
- Effective communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, a clean Vulnerable Sector Record Check will be required.
