**Intake Process Facilitator**
**Location**:Sioux Lookout, Thunder Bay OR Timmins

**SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- A sound **knowledge of how mental health and substance misuse issues**contribute to and affect the life of Indigenous youth, adults, and families.
- **Experience in working and networking with Indigenous people, communities, and organizations.**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential records for each intake package, documenting relevant details, and follow-up actions to ensure continuity of care.
- Well-developed scheduling, organization, problem-solving, prioritization, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under time constraints and deadlines, both independently and in a team setting;
- Ability to work effectively in person and virtually to support all three healing lodges equitably.
- Careful completion and review of accurate and fully completed intake packages.
- The ability to **travel to Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, and Timmins, Ontario**to build professional relations with the care teams and cliental.
- **Connect youth, adults, and familie**s with suitable mental health resources, including hotlines, counseling services, and culturally appropriate community programs.
- Maintain confidentiality related to clients at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.

**ACCOUNTABILITY**:
The Intake Process Facilitator is under the day-to-day Supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and with further accountability to the overall performance to the Director of Treatment Services and Chief Executive Officer. The Intake Process Facilitator will also be supported on-site by the appropriate healing lodge manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Social Sciences with 1 year of relevant intake experience** in a scope of practice or experience in addictions and mental health; OR
- Diploma in **Social Sciences with 2 years relevant intake experience**in a scope of practice or experience in addictions and mental health.
- Police records check and Vulnerable Sector Screen is required.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
- **Valid full Driver’s license and drivers abstract.**:

- Experience working with Indigenous people, families, and communities.
- Ability to speak a NAN language is an asset.

**POSITION DEMANDS**:
In summary, the position of Intake Process Facilitator is a hybrid position supporting one lodge on-site and two other lodges virtually. The position requires the individual to perform duties that may involve sitting for long periods, typing, answering phones, strong memory recall, as well as the ability to multi-task. This position of Intake Process Facilitator demands the ability to use digital devices for much of their work.

**Computer use**: Regular computer use is essential for tasks such as typing and extended periods of monitor use. Proper ergonomics must be practiced preventing ergonomic issues such as back pain, eye strain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

**Meeting Attendance and Documentation**: Participation in meetings, conferences, and workshops may require extended periods of sitting. The role involves handling paperwork, electronic devices, and maintaining documentation, all of which may entail prolonged sitting. The role also necessitates sustained concentration, average retention of information, and a good working memory.

**Communication**: Effective communication with center managers, staff, and other stakeholders requires the ability to speak, listen, and provide responses both in person and through various technologies. The role and the values of Ka-Na-Chi-Hih emphasize the importance of communication, teaching, and helping others. As this position is in regular contact with external and internal stakeholders, it is imperative that they demonstrate confidence in handling interpersonal communication professionally and with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $62,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
