The Chilliwack Golf Club, established in 1958, is a semi-private facility located between Chilliwack and Abbotsford, only 45 minutes from Vancouver. It features magnificent tree lined fairways, a creek that meanders through the back nine and breathtaking mountain vistas in every direction. Members and the public have enjoyed the Fraser Valley’s most popular golf course for over 60 years. With a reputation for world class conditioning (year-round), Chilliwack has played host to every major Provincial Championship.

We are looking for an experience Banquet Chef to assist in our busy catering department. This past year we catered over 50 immensely successful weddings from 50- 300 persons. Also multiple golf tournaments, banquets and Christmas parties throughout the year.

This is a full time position from March until December with seasonal lay off around Christmas, depending on functions booked.
- Minimum **ten** years experience and training in large quantity food preparation, food handling techniques and interpreting recipes as required.
- Food Safe Level 1 is required, Optimum Control and online ordering are an asset.
- Red Seal is required or equivalent experience.
- Follow guidelines laid out by the Executive Chef on how to prepare items, to specific needs and garnishing techniques
- Work with the Executive Chef on ensuring food quantities are sufficient for the needs of events.
- Work with Kitchen and Front-End Team Members to maintain high standards of cleanliness, proper storage of items and proper close procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast, high paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, be able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lb with no restrictions.
- Emphasis on efficiency, accuracy, professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- To ensure that exceptional guest service is provided and that our members and guests enjoy a great dining experience.
- Some line work shifts may be available to fulfill missing hours

Pay: $24.00-$27.50 per hour
