The Well Public House located inside Elements Casino Chilliwack is looking for a Chef de Partie to hit the ground running. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for the preparation of food items and maintaining all company standards through adherence to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Knowledge of all culinary aspects
- Cleaning and organizing and stocking of all related work equipment and areas
- Assist with inventory management
- Ensure culinary team is compliant with Food Safety practices
- Assisting culinary team with various tasks
- Ensure proper storage and rotation practices are in place
- Contributing to menu creation
- Submitting food product recommendations to the Executive Chef
- Liaising and communication effectively with the proper operational departments
- Prepare menu items to quality and presentation standards
- Banquets experience an asset
- Participating in meetings as required
- Ensure food quality meets the highest standards
- Ensure bill times are within standard
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma
- Culinary education an asset
- Able to read, understand and follow recipes
- Minimum two years’ experience in a high volume restaurant (s) and banquet experience
- Valid Food Safe Certificate - Level 1
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal record check
- WHMIS is an asset
- Experience with Optimum control an asset
- Outgoing, professional, customer driven individual with strong people skills
- Must be a team player who works well with others with ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

**Salary**: From $21.15 per hour
