As a HR Generalist, you’ll be an essential part of our People team, working closely with HR and company leadership to ensure smooth operations, support employee engagement, and streamline HR processes. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of HR experience who is ready to deepen their expertise in a tech-driven, fast-moving environment.
**This role is located at our Markham warehouse and we are hiring for front half and back half weekly coverage.**
**What You’ll Do**:
Support Day-to-Day HR Operations - Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and company policies, process onboarding and offboarding, and help ensure the smooth operation of all HR functions.
Payroll & Benefits Administration - Work with our payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing, manage benefit enrollments and changes, and answer employee questions about pay and benefits.
Employee Onboarding - Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager and the hiring managers to deliver an outstanding onboarding experience, from creating new-hire paperwork to scheduling orientation and providing ongoing support for new hires.
HR Compliance - Assist in maintaining compliance with HR policies and employment regulations. Ensure records are accurately maintained and updated, and support compliance initiatives as we grow and expand.
Data and Systems Management -Help maintain HR systems, such as Bamboo HR and ADP, ensuring accurate employee records and data entry.
Employee Engagement & Culture - Assist in organizing employee engagement events, wellness programs, and other initiatives to enhance our company culture and make GoBolt a great place to work.
Continuous Improvement - Identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems to make things easier and more efficient for the People team and employees.
Health & Safety - Play a key part in promoting a safe working environment, including assisting with the coordination and compliance of site health and safety initiatives.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 2-3 Years of HR/People Operations Experience in a logistics, manufacturing and/or startup environment.
- Detail-Oriented and Process-Minded: You have strong organizational skills and an eye for accuracy.
- Empathetic and People-Focused: You’re approachable and eager to support employees, helping create a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with employees and leaders effectively.
- Proactive and Adaptable: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can pivot quickly while staying focused on priorities.
- Tech-Savvy-Experience with HRIS systems, payroll software, and/or other HR technologies is a plus.
