The Best Players Need the Best People._ - QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Business, Sports Management, Communications or related field preferred - Three years’ experience in a golf-related business environment with sales or marketing experience preferred; Prior tournament operations golf experience - Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word - Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts - RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES - Oversee efforts of Special Event Production (SEP) staff - Train on-site volunteers for various TOUR programs - Coordinate Marketing Department programs on-site - Produce tournament reports for Competition and Marketing Departments - Assist tournaments with conforming to brand building established guidelines to include viewing / photo signs and banners and approval of all banner and sign positions prior to tournament - Player recruitment, notification, and management for all on-site and off-site special events - Assist Rules staff in securing basic tournament requirements by established deadlines to include security, dining issues, temporary office set-up, phone lines, media room set-up, etc... - Manage and oversee The Golf Channel on-site operation and interface - Build foundation and trust with tournament staff, volunteer committees, etc., to create a partnership for future growth and change - Assist Corporate Marketing Directors in developing and strengthening corporate account relationships by interacting with clients and clients' advertising and promotion agencies when on-site - Assist corporate and local account representatives in the execution of on-site promotions - Make "off season" site visits to new and underachieving events to implement and reevaluate Tour policies and objectives - Conduct formal presentations for end-of-year Tournament Directors / Q-school new member meetings - Operate sign machine to create weekly names for standard and range signage - Train and Manage starters, finishing tent committee, and handle official scorecards - Conduct and implement official pairings on-site with respect to making the cut and daily regrouping - Assist Rules staff with Player evacuation (set-up, staging, and implementation) - Participate with equipment overhaul and reordering of all branded material for the upcoming year
