Hardwire Telecom Ltd is a Victoria-grown company created in 2006. We consist of the combined talents of local communications technicians with a shared desire to provide a better communications service to Victoria and Vancouver Island.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist senior technicians in installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure, systems, and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of network components, including routers, switches, cables, and telephone systems.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring mínimal disruption to communication services.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of network devices, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting and resolving network-related problems.
- Document and maintain accurate records of network configurations, equipment inventory, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements, proactively suggesting innovative solutions to enhance our telecom infrastructure.

**Requirements**:
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required. An associate degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., telecommunications, networking) is a plus.
- A valid class 5 or better BC driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- A clean criminal record is required to be able to attend many of our secure client sites.
- Strong passion for telecommunications and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the industry.
- Basic understanding of telecommunications systems, network protocols, and equipment.
- Familiarity with network components such as routers, switches, cables, and telephone systems.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve network-related issues.
- Proficient in using network diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and end-users.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry developments.
