We are looking for a passionate, always hospitable and customer focused Assistant Manager to join our team.

Flame & Barrel is a brand new, independent, and locally owned restaurant and bar in the Windermere Community, SW, Edmonton. We are Edmonton’s answer to “where can we eat that we’ll enjoy” With quality drinks, a diverse globally inspired menu, exceptional staff, we strive to make restaurant guest dining experience one they will remember.

Additional Roles & responsibilities:

- Assistant Restaurant Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in the day-to-day operations of Flame & Barrel (restaurant + Bar)
- Oversees front-of-house restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts.
- Monitor and keep track of service complaints and customer feedback to ensure satisfaction with both food and service.
- Supports the director with hiring, assigning, training, evaluating and terminating employees.
- Documents, investigates, escalates and resolves all employee and guests incidents.
- Inspects dining room and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Meets with dining room and bar personnel to plan restaurant activities, special events, share information, performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications 2+ years of experiencing leading, supervising or managing a front-of-house restaurant team Solid understanding of steps of service Outstanding communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-10 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
