We are currently hiring **Kitchen/Commissary Assistant**

**Kitchen/Commissary Assistant **is responsible for inspecting, and receiving food and non-food deliveries, distributing goods to their appropriate areas, and the general organization of storage spaces and fridges in the commissary building. The Kitchen/Commissary Assistant** **will also provide support to the culinary team during peak business times performing general kitchen duties including, but not limited to imputing digital food orders, plating up food, traying and counting food items, and general peeling and cutting.

**What will you be doing?**
- Receiving and storing product deliveries throughout the week.
- Referencing invoices to delivery, discussing any discrepancies with the delivery drivers.
- Ensuring product quality is adequate by observing freshness, temperature of both, frozen and refrigerated goods as well as proper stacking of items on pallets.
- Assisting with budget and inventory control.
- Data input for electronic food orders.
- Support in maintaining par levels of various items.
- Gathering and preparations for shipping products and equipment for both internal, and external departments.
- Dispersing return food items appropriately.
- Support with the general cleanliness and organization of the commissary (refrigerators, freezers and storage spaces).
- Support the culinary team with general kitchen duties, not limited to traying food items, plating food items, wrapping and transporting hot holding boxes and carts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Commissary Operations Manager.

**What we are looking for**:

- Team player with good communication skills
- Regularly being able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a faced paced environment.
- Friendly, outgoing, service-oriented attitude
- Great attention to detail.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all types of weather and various temperatures during receiving and shipping operations.
- Working with chemicals and safety equipment.
- Must be available to work flexible hours
- days, evenings, weekends (Hours are dependent on business level).
