**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the National Events Lead, the National Events Associate is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of all regional and national corporate events, both in person and virtual.

Events ranging from regional and national conferences to board meetings and international trips. This role will involve working closely with the marketing team to ensure events align with our overall brand strategy and business objectives.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting the National Events Lead with planning, organization and execution of company events, webinars and other promotional activities to enhance brand awareness.
- Coordinating logistics, including event setup, promotional materials and cross-functional team involvement for successful event execution.
- Supporting all event and experience logistics from planning to execution, including researching and booking venues and accommodations, audio and visual set-up, vendor selection, securing speakers and entertainment.
- Developing detailed event timelines, budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and cost controls.
- Supporting vendor management efforts to ensure quality service delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Providing support for event-related administration, including coordinating schedules, processing invoices, creating materials (such as nametags, agendas, and signage), managing event correspondence, tracking RSVPs, maintaining event documentation, etc.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop event content, presentations and promotional materials.
- Working closely with the marketing team to ensure event objectives are aligned with company goals.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams as it relates to events and communications.
- Supporting the development and execution of strategic marketing plans to promote internal and external events, partnerships and the overall organization.
- Ensuring brand consistency at all events through the design of event materials, displays and promotional items.
- Working with marketing team members to develop event materials, collateral, electronic registration and event promotions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to incorporate company messaging into event planning, ensuring that employees feel informed, connected and engaged.
- Acting as ambassador of the Wellington-Altus brand.
- Collecting and analyzing feedback and performance metrics to evaluate event success and identify areas of improvement.
- Preparing post-event reports for internal stakeholders, including recommendations for future events.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or event management.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3+ years relevant work experience.
- Experience in the Wealth Management industry or other regulated industry is an asset.
- Hospitality industry knowledge and experience is an asset.
- CMP designation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting and/or managing events.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to marketing.
- Enthusiasm for community engagement and a passion for connecting people.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel to attend on-site events when required.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to travel 10 - 15% of the time.
