Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Maintain and manage the company's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Process payroll for all employees, including tracking time, verifying hours, and ensuring proper deductions.
- Administer employee benefits plan, including enrollment, updates, and coordination with providers.
- Prepare and file worker's compensation reports and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Maintain organized financial and employee records, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Conduct account analysis and assist in budgeting processes to help manage departmental finances.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as needed for management review.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents to ensure easy retrieval of information.
- Support year-end financial closing and audits.
- Provide guidance on HR- related financial matters and ensure alignment with company policies.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an accounting or finance environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Great Plains is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
