Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, All Weather Windows Ltd. (AWW) is a dynamic leader in the window and door industry in Canada. Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a Buyer for our Purchasing department in Edmonton. This individual is responsible for the acquisition of company materials and services, management of vendors, and monitoring the flow of goods and services in the Supply Chain. Quality, on-time delivery, and cost management are critical to the success of the company and are the main priorities of the Buyer. This individual will utilize expert knowledge to purchase goods and services for the company, focusing on ongoing pursuit of cost savings while simultaneously building and maintaining effective and resourceful relationships with vendors.

**In this position, you will be responsible for**:

- Manage Supplier Performance
- Execute all Supply Chain processes.
- Provide expertise in processes and systems; contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems including documentation
- Create and maintain “high quality” Syteline operational data base. Investigate and resolve any and all issues.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies using diplomacy and tact with vendors and service providers.
- Create, implement and maintain VTA
- Create cross category or banner demand plan and create strategic purchasing plan (RFQ), across supplier community for goods and services.
- Fully support, enable and utilize Syteline functionality as per written business processes and corporate KPI’s.
- _Create and implement proactive inventory management_
- work upstream with key suppliers; create, implement and maintain a CPFR (Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment) process with top corporate suppliers
- Utilize all system supported reporting to achieve and sustain supplier and category goals and objectives
- Complete a “regular” productivity review of the product assortment plan
- Ensure minimum order quantities (MOQ’s) are aligned to all active SKU’s velocity based on supplier, category and/or corporate DOH (Days on Hand) targets.
- _Continuous Improvement_
- Fully engage in the weekly meeting agenda; Identify opportunities for KPI improvement, present and discuss with Managers as required
- Implement and track results vs baselines

**Primary Qualifications Required**:

- University degree in material management, business or administration.
- Certified Purchasing Management Association of Canada preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ Supply Chain experience
- Knowledge and experience with Syteline Software
- Strong customer service predisposition, 1-3 years working customer service experience
- Knowledge of supply chain management a must.
