Quality Control Inspector

**The Redco Group** is currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector.
**Location: Edmonton**
**Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-4:30**
**Start: Immediate**
**Responsibilities**:
- Audit, Generate/coordinate sub-contracted product and process through the use of controlled purchase orders in accordance to establish internal, customer, or nationally recognized standards.
- Audit, perform, record in-process, first-off, stamping/marking functions, and final inspections at all stations to established internal or customer standards.
- Audit, generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and review for trends and opportunities for improvement, while assisting manufacturing staff in the same to achieve the soundest possible product and process. Success in doing so will require you to support quality initiatives, analyze trends and root causes, and ultimately suggesting/implementing resolutions.
- Audit/ensure all measuring instruments are sound and calibrated to established internal/documented standards.
- Ensure all staff are audited for competence for measuring, methodology, handling, and storage of measuring instruments, on an ongoing basis.
- Audit and ensure all paperwork is complete, concise, and accurate to documented procedures, ensuring “first-pass” success.
- Audit the integrity and consistency of calibration/recalibration, documentation, and accuracy for all company and employee-owned measuring instruments and pressure gauges to internal and nationally recognized standards.
- The company encourages and supports training as recognized by applicable industry standard to ensure continual improvement of person, process, and product.
- Ensure delegates continually maintain a high level of housekeeping in the quality-control area that is reflective of quality process, product, and staff.
**Job Requirements**:
- Ability to read and write English.
- Basic math skills, shop math trigonometry.
- Experience as a machine job shop inspector.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and operator instructions.
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments, height gages, calibration of hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Communication abilities.
- Working knowledge of the related industry codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with the desire to do what it takes to get the job done
- Strong organization/time management skills
**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
