Wenzel Downhole Tools is seeking a permanent full-time **Quality Control Inspector** for its Edmonton facility. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the direct examination of parts to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with API, ISO 9001:2015 and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, and knowledgeable in reading drawings, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization’s quality management system, health and safety program and identifying defects and or production errors in order to prevent these materials going out to customers.

**Duties Include**:

- Inspect production material or parts for conformance to purchasing order requirements, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications: process standards and specifications.
- Report defects or rejected part to the appropriate supervisor.
- Select appropriate inspection processes for components
- Work with co-workers to create and qualify robust inspection processes
- Interpret specifications for inspection processes

**Qualifications and Educational Requirements**
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Control Inspection
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of industry code inspection techniques
- Good understanding of statistical methods
- Establish accept/reject criteria and revision status from blueprints
- Troubleshoot inspection problems related to fixtures, drawings, paperwork, or process.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records.
- Interact with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
