**Work Hours**: 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, in-person
**Salary Range**:$45,000/yr

**Position Summary**:
The HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position provides administrative support across a range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and general HR administration. The HR Assistant ensures that all processes are handled efficiently, confidentially, and in alignment with company policies and employment legislation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing documentation, setting up employee files, and coordinating orientation sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with privacy and labor regulations.
- Help coordinate staff training sessions, HR events, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, leaves, and other HR-related topics.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, forms, and letters as required.
- Track employee absences, vacation, and sick leave, updating HR systems accordingly.
- Support the HR team in maintaining compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role (experience in an educational environment is an asset).
- Strong understanding of HR practices, confidentiality, and employment standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to travel to both Locations in Vancouver and Surrey
