Unionville College is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Cafeteria Assistant and Student Supervisor at our Stouffville campus. In this dual-role position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of our students, staff, and visitors. You will play a key role in monitoring various areas of the campus, including assisting with service in the cafeteria, ensuring a secure and pleasant environment. The position reports directly to the Secondary Principal.

**Responsibilities**:
**Cafeteria Assistant**:

- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of the cafeteria area.
- Support the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
- Ensure the cafeteria area is organized, hygienic, and well-stocked.
- Assist in managing inventory and restocking supplies.
- Handle transactions, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
- Address any cafeteria-related concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

**Student Supervisor**:

- Monitor designated areas of the school campus to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors.
- Identify and address potential security risks, unauthorized activities, and maintain order in various areas.
- Conduct regular patrols both inside and outside the school premises, including the cafeteria, hallways, parking lot, playing fields, and other designated areas.
- Engage positively with students aged 11-15 years, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.
- Be available to address students' concerns or conflicts that may arise during the school day.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Report any incidents, concerns, or emergencies promptly to the Secondary Principal or other designated authorities.
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following school protocols and procedures.
- Exhibit a positive and professional attitude, serving as a role model for students in behavior, attitude, and adherence to school policies.

**Requirements**:
**Cafeteria Assistant**:

- Enthusiasm for maintaining a clean and welcoming cafeteria environment.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities to ensure the smooth operation of the cafeteria.

**Student Supervisor**:

- The ability to walk a moderate distance both indoors and outdoors throughout the school day.
- Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to work with young people aged 11-15 years, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Must have a valid vulnerable sector police check clearance or be willing to obtain one before starting the position.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities to ensure the safety and well-being of the school community.
