Construction Administration Assistant

They are looking for an Administrative Assistant for their Concord office who will assist their Project/Estimating Department with organizing and coordinating project support activities including:
- Opening job files and creating an office and site information binder
- Sending out and follow up on purchased materials including delivery dates
- Organizing and submitting shop drawings for approval
- Filling out project close out documentation forms
- Setting up verifications and ESA inspections
- Tracking down specialty materials
- Assisting with project estimates
- Preparing proposals
In addition, this on-site position is responsible for maintaining the Health and Safety Management program in conjunction with our third-party safety consultants. This includes maintaining policies, procedures and training material, coordinating training, monitoring requirements for Occupational Health and Safety legislation and the PPE program, and assisting the Joint Health and Safety Committee with their objectives.
**Qualifications**:
- Some office administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and well versed in other office technologies and software
- Motivated and enthusiastic
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work in an office environment (not a remote position)
- Must have strong command of written and verbal English
- High school diploma
- Driver’s license
**Assets**:
- General knowledge of the construction/electrical industry is an asset (but training will be provided.)
- Basic health and safety training and WHMIS
