Desktop Support/field Service Technician

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
- Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
- May require an associate's degree or its equivalent.
- Requires at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Must have excellent Microsoft operating-system skills plus related tools skills.
- Must have excellent customer interfacing skills communication
- A+ preferred
- OEM certifications
- Dell, Lenovo, HP, Lexmark, Xerox, Microsoft certificated
- Daily Field Service with Client’s national customers.
- Portable and PC hardware break/fix and IMAC work.
- Must have excellent Microsoft operating-system skills plus related tools skills.
- Must have excellent customer interfacing skills communication
**Certifications**:
- A+ preferred
- OEM certification: Dell, Lenovo, HP, Lexmark, Xerox, and Microsoft certificated definitely an asset.
**Experience required**:
- 2 to 5-plus years of directly related experience would be a large benefit.
- Junior tech fresh out of tech school would be considered with related education
- Daily driving, typically 20 to 50 KM/day
- Some remote location driving will be required, within 200 KM of Edm
**Salary**: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montréal, QC H3B 0B3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Break Fix: 3 years (preferred)
- PC, Laptop Repair: 3 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- French (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CompTIA A+ (preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 50% (preferred)
