As an organization, we are evolving in exciting ways and we are seeking a _full-time Human _
- Resources Manager to_ join our committed and dynamic team.

Working as part of the senior management team, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all-things human resources within the organization. This person will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining systems, processes, and policies related to unionized employees (CUPE) and non-unionized STAGE employees. This person is further responsible for ensuring high quality payroll, benefit services and human resources requirements are provided by the NSDRC to its employees in accordance with the Association’s
Mission, Vision & Values and best practices of the sector.

This person will serve as the primary point of contact for CSSEA, union representatives, current employees and prospective employees. They will assist with recruitment and retention initiatives and work closely with managers and directors to ensure exceptional human resource practices for the organization.

**Responsibilities**:
Human Resources:

- Performs and coordinates policy reviews and analysis, including the overall management of Human Resource projects.
- Responsible for overseeing the hiring, orientation, supervision, performance management and possible terminations of all of the associates at North Shore Disability

Resource Centre.
- Ensures compliance with all legislative requirements (federal and provincial).
- Ensures compliance with all Labour Law and Health and Safety regulations.
- Research any new developments within the Human Resource field and implement changes where needed.
- Anticipate and identify emerging issues, trends and problems that affect the policies and programs of North Shore Disability Resource Centre.
- Identify and address issues that affect the overall health of the organization; morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
- Supports diversity initiatives.
- Analyze benefit programs and serve as primary contact with service providers.
- Direct recruitment practices and procedures.
- Ensure the security of employee records and the appropriate retention periods for a variety of documents.
- Provide direction to all levels of employees for HR related issues.
- Execute HR programs such as training, innovation, employee recognition, activities and recreational programs in a way supporting internal equity and organization's competitiveness.
- Supervise the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefit programs.
- Participate in recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations according to policies and principals.
- Discover new ways of attracting top talent and ensure that the NSDRC has an emergency succession plan in place for unforeseen staffing changes.
- Ensure compliance regarding regulations and laws by executing necessary policies and procedures.
- Provide recommendations on leadership and organizational behaviours.
- Contribute to development of leadership through focused development strategies including talent and performance management.
- Provide guidance for change management initiatives.
- Provide training for supervisors and above for performance management, conflict resolution, discipline and terminations.
- Sustain and develop knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting human resources management.
- Perform continuous evaluation, development and execution of policies, programs and processes.
- Investigate and provide resolutions for employee relations problems.
- Participate in ongoing personal development and continuous learning.
