**Job Summary**

Human Resources Manager is the focal point of communication for the human resources team, with efficiency being the key goal at all times. Human Resources professional must perform a range of duties supporting divisional managers and HR staff. The duties consist of semi-monthly payroll, safety, policies, training, labour relations, relocation, diversity, education, recruiting and other HR programs. Provide resolutions and consulting in the above areas to ensure profitable business operations.

**Job Duties**
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Manage Corporate HR Guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
- Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations).
- Monitor semi-monthly payroll process via ADP; facilitate time-sheet communication with branch managers; produce payroll reports on a semi-monthly basis for upper management
- Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies, third party benefit providers, and educational institutions.
- Prepare and present weekly HR update report to senior management, utilizing analytical HR metrics.
- Oversee adequate orientation and training within the organization.
- Maintains human resource team performance by counseling and coaching employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Mange company compensation structure by scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Maintain employee benefits programs (Health & Dental, Pension, etc) and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
- Communicate with headquarters HR to provide various employee/HR-related information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to speak/write fluently in both English and Korean is a strong asset.
- Degree in Human Resources/Business Management/Employment Relations/Payroll required
- Master of Industrial Relations is an asset
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience in Human Resources/Payroll Administration required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing Human Resources team is required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience and/or academic education in processing Payroll; knowledge of using ADP/Ceridan/Payroll Software an asset.
- Ideally working towards CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) and PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certifications.
- Work experience or education in employment law or other area of regulations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR related issues related to regulations, laws and policies.
