**Overview**

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, including seasonal offerings and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in food handling techniques and practices within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation methods and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and customer preferences.
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred but not required.
