**Summary**
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for accurate and efficient equipment and inventory management with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role works with multiple departments to facilitate seamless operations across the Northern Ontario and Atlantic Canada regions.
**What You’ll Do**
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery and return of equipment to and from job sites with proactive communication and accurate record keeping
- Coordinating with vendors to manage efficient loads and cost-effective shipments.
- Executing required paperwork cycle for rental units, including but not limited to, check-in and out, packing slips, dangerous goods documentation, invoicing, and customer relationship management
- Assisting the Rental Sales team in addressing customer requirements, preparing rental/sales quotations, coordinating orders, and processing them
- Assisting in regular inventory cycle counts, ensuring system inventory matches physical inventory to facilitate inter-branch transfers.
- Managing the purchase order cycle from creation to closure, and submission for payment.
- Generating operational reports, including weekly and monthly inspections, service reports, load bank reports, and 250-hour service reports.
- Taking the lead on ensuring the work environment is safe and clean, participating in safety meetings, performing formal inspections and taking proactive and reactive action as needed.
- Performing maintenance and repair tasks for the office, shop and warehouse as needed.
- Towing units to and from sites, as needed including unloading and loading of cables and rental supplies
- Other duties as assigned from time to time as deemed relevant and necessary by management,
What You Need
- Minimum 2 years of operational experience in a similar and/or relevant environment
- Experience in dispatching, project coordination, and/or equipment management preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to tow equipment an asset
- Relevant mechanical/technical aptitude is an asset
- Strong organizational skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required for desktop computer and peripherals use
- Participation in the after-hours on-call rotation
- Availability during power outages or declared States of Emergency
- Overtime as required
